PRP with Dermapen

Microneedling combined with platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood, so growth factors reach the skin through the micro-channels.

This procedure requires an assessment consultation first so we can plan it around your case.

PRP with Dermapen

Platelet-rich plasma is prepared from a small blood sample taken at the start of your session and separated in a centrifuge to isolate the fraction rich in growth factors. Because it comes from your own blood, no foreign substance is introduced.

Why combine the two

Dermapen alone stimulates collagen through the healing response. Applying PRP immediately afterwards lets growth factors travel through the micro-channels the device has created rather than sitting on the surface. Each procedure reinforces the other.

What it targets

Acne scarring, dull skin, fine lines and declining skin elasticity. It is also used on the scalp as part of hair-loss treatment plans.

What to know beforehand

The procedure requires a blood draw, so we review your medical history and medications — blood thinners in particular — before the appointment. Some medical conditions and blood disorders make it unsuitable, which is assessed at consultation.

After the session

Redness and mild swelling for one to three days. Avoid make-up for 24 hours and exfoliants for several days; sunscreen is essential.

What you gain

  • Growth factors delivered through the micro-channels
  • Microneedling and PRP reinforcing each other

FAQ

How much blood is drawn?

A small sample comparable to a routine blood test, taken at the start of the session and separated within minutes.

How many sessions do I need?

Usually 3 to 4 sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, followed by maintenance. The number depends on the case and goal and is set after assessment.

Are there cases where it is unsuitable?

Yes. Blood disorders, some autoimmune conditions, blood-thinning medication and active infection in the treatment area all require assessment and may rule it out. This is why we review your history beforehand.

How does it differ from golden PRP?

Golden PRP involves an additional preparation step aimed at a higher concentration of growth factors. We explain the practical difference and which suits your case at consultation.
